Musical Theatre 1 explores group characterisation in storytelling, group dramatic movement, vocal projection, and unison singing.

Description

This course nurtures self-discovery, confidence, and independence. Explore what you can do with your body and voice in storytelling, learn to assume different characters, and deliver spoken lines responding to the teacher. Develop musicality through vocal drills focusing on projection, and learn to communicate thoughts and emotions through song. Learn ensemble dancing and stage movements focusing on body isolations, stillness, energy, and bigger-than-life movements.

  • Learn vocal drills that focus on vocal projection

  • Practise ensemble singing 2-3 short thematic songs as part of the story

  • Learn unison teacher-led dancing with a focus on body isolations
